Christmas is getting closer and my hormones have decided to mess me up!!

Morning/afternoon/evening people.

Hope things are well with you all?

Best get my whinging out of the way first lol.
To be honest there isn't much for me to whinge about, my eyes itch and for some unknown reason my hormones are off on one of their adventures. It really is hard to describe (though some readers will understand lol), when you try explain this to the doctor, they look at you like your not living on the same planet. Way back in June I had them tested (hormones not my mind hahaha, doubt you'd find much in my head lmao) everything came back normal, which leaves me in a very strange place - I know something isn't right, but its getting the old block heads to listen and investigate further that becomes the problem, maybe one day soon tests will show otherwise and I will have been proved right.
I often wonder if it's something to do with the adrenal gland that is causing the current issue? Might take that up with St. James' next year when I go for my annual M.O.T.
Apart from aching like hell and constantly feeling sick, I'm good.
Yes I know I shouldn't moan as there are people out there worse than me, I get the point but it is also good to get it off yer chest.

NANOWRIMO 2012 has gone to the dogs for me, each day I've tried to do some to the novel, but my over analytical mind decided she would show her face, so I may aswell bow out for this year.

As for editing, I am seriously taking my time, as it needs to be done to the best I can do. Me and Nat have finally agreed (not on titles, with that we have free choice) on a theme, it came to me late one friday night (2 weeks ago i think) I text her to ask what she thought, she agreed and we went from there. I have chosen my 2 titles for the books, Nat has yet to decide on one title for book number 3, which is a combination of books 3 and 4.

Right onto better news hehehe!
Oh my goodness, love Christmas and boy is it coming up fast, where has the year gone?
Nearly all the presents got/bought. I'm still buying Christmas decorations and thankfully two Christmas shops have opened in Huddersfield, in one I found the black tinsel I've been after along with 2 boxes that I can put presents in, just to get little bags to put the boxes in which makes it easier for transporting.
Colour scheme for this years tree decs and ceiling decs - purple, silver and black. I even managed to find purple LED lights on ebay for 9.50 and also bought bright white LED lights too.
I'm actually more ahead with present buying than I was last year, still a few to get and a few to post off to people but I'm not too worried at the minute.
Yes I'm probably boring you to death lol.

This is the life of an ex student, job hunting, amateur writer who wants to be published lmao.
Reminds me, tomorrow I best get on and finish part 3 of the meadow on my other blog.

Have a fab week and weekend.
This is me, yes me, signing off.

Personal achievement and the people who put ya down

Ooooops, it seems it has been a while since I last posted a personal blog!

I do hope all is well with you all?

Right onto the subject -

As always in life you always seem to get a twit that loves to put you down, whether it be for a simple reason like they're jealous or they love to ruin your life.
This subject feels and is personal to me, I love writing, it feels like my life and the one true calling I feel is the path to go down, how I get there is upto me.
It doesn't have to be writing that's your gift, you may love sewing, cooking or storytelling or a multitude of different skills we may aquire during our lifetime.

Someone I once knew told me poetry and writing in general would get me no-where because you have to be super brilliant, lucky and above all - TALENTED. And that I should put away stupid ideas and get realistic. Hmmmmm!!!
All I have ever wanted to do is reach out to people, make them laugh with silly stories and try and make some sort of difference to the world, no matter how small.
At one stage I completely gave up writing altogether, it felt like a curse, a burden and a waste of what little time I had.
Looking back on that time, (obviously with insight you can reflect) it seems I felt 'lost'. I'm not sure if that is the right word, but it seems to fit. I was lost and thought my writing was my downfall, not (perhaps) a salvation. It helped me through some very tough times, it helped release feelings that were brewing within and to try make sense of myself and the world around me.
Now I am so much older (and feel more clued up lol) these experiences have made me that much better and my 'skill' (if thats what you wanna call it? There are so many words I could use) has or seems to have evolved with me.

All this was brought on by listening to 'Hall of fame' by The Script feat. Will.i.am, it made me reflect on everything and I tihnk it has made me that bit more determined to try my best to reach high and get to where I wanna be, no matter how hard the task or the time it takes, I will reach it someday.

Sometimes the biggest critic and enemy is actually yourself, but outside influences also help to add to the protests and angst you already have.
Over time I've learnt to filter all of them out and rather than listen to my head I listen to my heart, with this topic anyway.

So the lesson? Learn to live life as it comes, be prepared to work hard to achieve what you want, but most of all - NEVER GIVE UP. It would be a terrible loss, not only to the world, but also to yourself.

Another update - living with someone who has M.E./CFS

Thought I would do a short segment about an illness which is never seen, but felt by the person suffering from it.
No, it isn't me, but my other half (and many others across the UK and the globe).
He was diagnosed with it in 2007, he has good days, but most of time he has bad days.
This is a little segment about the ones who (not deal with it) but have to watch them suffer.

After much pestering back in 2007 he finally went to the doc's and after loads of hassle, tests and the doc putting him on anti-depressants, finally the diagnosis was M.E./CFS (I can never remember what the M.E. stands for, but CFS stands for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

It isn't nice to watch a person struggle each day to try and do 'normal' stuff, like potter to the shop or even try to get out of bed. Yes I know I am moaning lol!
This condition can last a lifetime, or a matter of ten years ish!

No one knows what the future holds, beware!

Stepping into Dean's world

Evening fellow readers/people.

I hope all is well?

I'm (as usual) eating, minstrels this time and drinking grape soda, the grape soda reminds me of chewing gum I used to be hooked on.

Okay, so this week we are not entering my world (I'm sure you've all had enough lol), this time I am taking you into Dean's world. This world is both brilliant and yet sometimes terrifying.
As a toddler he had a fit of some sort, overnight stay in hospital, tests etc, but nothing. It was a one off fit and hasn't had one since. Thing is since then it has ocurred to me on many ocassions did this fit cause some possible imbalance in Dean's brain?
I know that you (yes you) the reader will or may think 'Oh you're over reacting.' Well read on and I shall explain further.
In some ways it is hard to explain, it was (at first) little things like wanting things in certain places and not liking it if they were moved, I couldn't even move them to vac. Anyway that phase passed within 6 months and I thought nothing more of it.
Soon as he went into infants, the worry came creeping back. He refused to do his work or never finished it (I'm not making up excuses, I'm telling you the reader how it was), he would get upset over nothing and scream wildly.
After much pain and constant nagging, he finally decided to pick up the pace a bit, that didn't last for long and continued into Year 4 (juniors), so one to one tuition came into play, to try help his concentration, slowly but surely he has improved and at the mo is only slightly behind where he should be. His attitude to school isn't the problem, it's what he is like at home that get's me rattled.
The slightest thing agitates him, (i know you're all thinking, it's normal kid behaviour, it will pass) and when we tell him off for doing something wrong which he knows is wrong, his face goes red, followed by tears followed by head butting the door or wall, whichever is nearest. Every now and again he will hit himself on the head so hard he loses balance, now he has the routine of either scratching his skin to pieces or slapping his arm so hard even you feel the sting. Bet you are still thinking this is normal, right? Wrong, it doesn't feel normal. And he calls himself every name under the sun when in this mood. Not only does it feel scary it makes you feel helpless.
When he is in this mood, the only way to get through to him is to let him calm down followed by a hug and then having to explain over and over again that he cannot do that to himself because it may cause serious damage, followed by us re-going over what he did wrong and where he should have stopped, Dean has no limits at all when he gets to that stage.
He really is ultra bright but I feel like he is a volcano, waiting to explode at any given time.

I think it was last year, when we took him to the doctors, told him all about what Dean does and the doctor said, it has to be referred by school to a place and he can't do anything, which at the time I thought was a load of hog wash and bull shit. So I left it at that and decided that the 'Pro's' don't seem to know if they are coming or going. Me and Brian will somehow deal with this.

We asked for help and got told to sod off. When we mentioned it to school and his teacher, they shrugged it off too, which is fair play because he never does it at school, only at home.

Music, reading, writing are all my therapies. If only life was so easy, mind you it wouldn't be a challenge then would it???

So you've all glimpsed into a tiny part of Dean's world, I see it alot.

I'm now going to bake a double chocolate cake with orange, another brilliant way to unwind lol.

Thought for the week - Look past the front cover and see what hides beneath, you never quite know what you will find :-)

A new week

Okay, hello folks.
It's late Wednesday night (9.30pm), I'm settled down with a malibu n coke, Russell Howard's good news and obviously me blog lol.

Over the past week, (mind you it has occured to me quite a few years ago) that the world is such a dangerous place, so much (the word isn't evil) more like cruel and unforgiving. There is so much that can be wrong and to be fair - is wrong. Children been abducted for some unknown reason only to turn up either years later looking dishevelled and obviously out of touch with the world, or in most cases turn up dead. A waste of a life that could have been great.
I've heard alot of people talking about bringing back the death penalty recently. There are as always 2 sides to this story/issue. There are those who tihnk bringing it back will instill fear to those who wanna do wrong (murder rape etc) and see it as the only option this world has. To a very small extent I agree, here is my reason/view - it may deter future idiots from causing chaos, but..... I know people won't agree with me and that's fair play - they should languish in an old style prison where manual labour and repetative tasks.
But there again each solution causes more issues than solutions, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
For me parts of the crap in this world are too confusing and the solutions are either too complicated, maybe one day a solution will be found, until then chaos is always around the corner.

I must however admit there is a simple beauty in the world, just look around past the chaos, past the smoke and mirrors and the red tape and I'm sure you will find a small piece of the greatness this world has to offer. For me these are simple things that only time can change - the hills surrounding me, a smile from a child, laughter, silence and somehow knowing there are good people in the world, their is light.

Onto another subject lol!!

There are times when I feel like an observer of the world, like I'm not really part of it, almost like sitting on the fence watching a match going on. And yes I'm a tad unsociable pmsfl.
In all honesty I love to observe, so much to learn from just watching people going about their lives, I often find myself wondering if their lives have turned out the way they want? Or how much heart ache they carry, are they happy and what are they really thinking.
TOLD YOU I WAS STRANGE!!! HA HA HA
I'm not perfect I agree, but the world isn't perfect, so everyone in it isn't either lol. The creatures are and landscapes :p

Now about my writing, you know books etc.... haven't done much over the past month, too busy revising for my resit. Soon as resit is done, the following day it's back to writing and signing up for nanowrimo, hell knows how I shall manage, 50,000 words in 30 days, I desperatle need my imagination? Wonder if to try a steamy romantic theme this time? Just to see how far I get. What do you guys n gals think? Good idea? Bad idea?

I'm sooo tired all the time, my body is tired, my mind is tired even my soul is tired, too much devastation, too much to handle and I'm just tired. maybe one day I will find my place again, find that spark again and feel free once again (dont take that the wrong way lol, I mean it) like this - free as in, I dont feel tired and feel alive once again.

HALLOWEEN 28 DAYS AWAY!!

That's it from my end of the scale, I hope you all have a fab week and here is my thought for the week - when life throws you a curve ball, bat it back with all your might x x x

When you're simply not impressed.

Morning/Afternoon/Evening.

After two days of complete rain, guess what? It's still raining lol!!
Wonder where Noah and his boat is? Hahaha.

As you can see by the title, I'm not that impressed. It is annoying when the pro's seem to think they know better than you, yet you know your body better than anyone else. Each body is unique, esp the chemical make-up.
Me, my body is how do you put this politely? Ultra unique due to the chemo I endured in 1983.
Not too long ago I had an argument with the Nurse Practicioner, I'd lost half a stone in weight due to taking iron, (the irony is each time i ate something, had to take my iron tab and within 10mins I was chucking up) despite me saying that to her she insisted I gotta keep taking it, my reply, no chance.

Why do the pro's (not all of them admittedly) think they know me better than I do? The only people who seem to listen are the people at St. James', who listen intently and point me in the right direction. My GP, Gyneacologist etc seem to think that either I make stuff up or they know what's best, well guess what? Try walking a mile in my shoes, then tell me that I'm wrong!!!!

Since a previous GP told me that it was a waste of time, money and resources for me to be going to St James' for my annual check ups, I've had a sorta phobia of doctors since. My consultant in Leeds went mental and repremanded the GP, still it doesn't help me because each time I go see GP I always think they will think its a waste of time me being there. So I'm always a nervous wreck when I gotta go!

So my thought for the week - always question everything, fight your corner and never give up, you may regret it :-)

Life feels as if it has changed...

I cannot believe how long it has been since I was last on this blog site!!!!

Well firstly onto the drab stuff - I failed my Uni exam back in August, being the saddo I am, I cried, but not for long as I knew I'd be able to have one last shot in a resit, which is in just over 4 weeks time.
The job front is rubbish, so after this resit I will be looking at voluntary work it will at least keep me occupied and gain me experience :-).
Health wise, not that good to be honest, muscles and joints are swollen, which makes it harder to move, haven't had a period in 9 weeks and no I'm not pregnant lol, so I have no idea at all, though my mum seems to think I'm going through the change lmao, wouldn't surprise me, the doctors may however dis-agree. Will have to make an app with GP.

I know people are worse off than me, I get that and appreciate that it could be so much worse, but every now and again, it proves too much and for a bit I feel sorry for myself.
I've never been deadly ambitious, all I have ever wanted was a bit of financial security, decent health and to be a published author. The publishing thing is however in proccess as I am (not at the moment, too busy revising) editing the first book, that may take another year or so to complete before looking at Literary agencies and seeing if it is (the book i mean) any good.
My friend and vampire sis Nat is co-author on this particular series, I made her write a bit and since has been hooked.
I have quite a few ideas on the go but can't really do anything until the exam is finished and edited the first book in our series, but saying that if I ever get bored I can continue with the other ideas as a break.

In my mind I moan about my life frequently, strange really as I know full well I am the only one who can turn it around, but there is a saying - good things come to those who wait. I'm impatient lmao.

My life really isn't adding upto much at the moment but somehow change is in the air and with each passing day I am slowly realising that being more positive helps, as does sarcasm hahahaha.

Right I best get on with revision - reading James Joyce's The Dubliners and make notes.

Thanks for reading and yes I moan an awful lot pmsfl!!!

Choices and decisions

Okay, hello people.
I do hope all is well?

Tonight I have decisions to make about whether or not to self publish an e-book/kindle edition of a small collection of my poetry?
Firstly I have to go through all my poems to find out which ones I think would be best to go into said book, this includes looking on my pc where I have such things as silly poetry, dark poetry etc (it isn't that dark lol.)

What do you guys think? A good idea? Or a waste of time?

I've been writing poetry for 22yrs, I've entered many competitions during this time and won many, mostly the prizes consisted of being published in a book or collection, which is fine by me, as I just want to make people more aware of me lol. Is that such a bad thing?

Anyway I have to go, tea to do!! Yawn hahaha.

Yes so please let me know what you think about me having an e-book with my poetry in it.

Xxxx

update

Thought I would change text colours lol.

Hi all, hope all is well?

Told you I'd update, thursday.

Been to doctors, few things need sorting, but I am almost sure something else is going on within me rather than just what the blood results say, although I am impressed with kidney function result, 86.6% in fact I am very impressed. Since I have less than one kidney :p
I'm back on iron, which is gonna be hell for 2 months, gotta go see physio about my weak joints and soon I gotta see a gyneacologist to see what next step is with continual/ongoing problems.

Anyway enough of that rubbish, I have recently read fallen by lauren kate, brilliant book, life is usual, busy and sometimes insane.

Right I am off, want to relax for a bit, please look at my parent blog sometime tomorrow as it will contain my very first interview with friend and fellow parent Nat :-) and on Saturday there will be another book review.

Monday, 2 July 2012

Hello people,
this is my personal  blog, updating you about my boring life ha ha ha.

My name is Nadine Amanda Mosby (formerly Kimmage) and although my  mind is young, the body is ageing fast lmao!

I'm average I guess, but get on the wrong side and it's ooooopsi daisy time hehehe.

Reading and writing are my passions. I have been writing (mainly poetry) since the age of 8 and got into writing books a few years ago when we had to do something for a Uni course EMA, didn't work out right like, the tutor didn't like it but pah.

I am currently writing with a good friend of mine and we are loving the adventure our characters are taking us on.

I got 2 kids, married and live in West Yorkshire and currently job hunting, that isn't going well.

And I'm waiting for Uni results to see if I will get my  degree in English Literature, if not, then maybe that door closes and another opens, who knows??

I'm weird, whacky and at times seem to be off the planet.
Right now i am reading a book called Fallen, by Lauren Kate.

I have another blog going about books, authors and reading, please take a look and see what you think.
I  shall update hopefully thursday or sunday, as friday n saturday I am dealing with my other blog, where I shall be interviewing friend and fellow parent Natalie Bennett.
